What do you get when you take a plain Audi Q6 e-tron Sportback and give it the goods for solid offroad performance? You get the Audi Q6 e-tron offroad.
Performance has been tuned to improve offroad capability. This was done by using a modified portal axel that increases torque by 50%. These portal axels were developed from scratch and are integrated into the wheel hub assemblies at the front and rear axles. This necessitated partial changes to the suspension links. The portal axles increase the combined torque at all wheels (10-second peak) to 9,883 lb ft, a total increase of 3,245 lb ft!
The concept e-tron gets a ride-height increase of 6.3″ and it’s track widened by 9.6″ to give it a caricature 4×4 stance with an aggressive lift and tires jutting out beyond the body requiring additional fender moldings to provide proper cover. This changes allow the e-tron to climb gradients up to 45 degrees, but reduces top speed to 108 mph.
Audi will present the Q6 on February 1, 2025, at the F.A.T. Ice Race and on the social media channels of @Audi Sport.
